NHTSA Campaign Number 25C-004

Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc. (Dorel) has decided that certain models of the following child restraint systems fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 213 “Child Restraint Systems”.  The height range on the forward-facing installation label on the product incorrectly states a child between 43-57 in. (110.1-144.8 cm) can use the internal harness system.  The instruction manual included with the restraint system correctly states the height rating to be 34-49 in. (87-125 cm), this discrepancy is a noncompliance with FMVSS No. 213.  An incorrect label may result in an improperly restrained child, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
